Why we do it

Carols in the Pub was started in 2004, as an extra event to follow up Carols in the Park. The event in the park gives us little opportunity to actually meet with the people who come, but at the Queen's we have a chance to do that.

As you would expect, for us at Chapel A, Christmas is special. It is the point in the calendar when we remember and celebrate the birth of Jesus, God becoming a man on earth. This isn't a God who is remote and aloof, or distant and disinterested in us; on the contrary, he wants us to know him and he wants the best for us.

Carols in the Pub has become something of a party. We have a brilliant time. The music, drink and fun is a great way to celebrate God's good life.
